Azerbaijani cuisine is one of the most interesting cuisines in the world in general and the East in particular. It is somewhat similar to traditions of Caucasian and Central Asian nations, but has its own distinctive features. It is notable for the abundance of all kinds of meat, fish and vegetable dishes, complemented by aromatic herbs and spices. Especially popular in Azerbaijani cuisine is saffron: more than 50 national dishes are cooked with this herb! Azerbaijan cuisine by its composition and diversity of dishes relate to one extremely tasty and healthy dishes. It is characterized by an abundance of a variety of meat (lamb, beef, poultry) and fish (stellate sturgeon, sturgeon) and vegetable dishes, complemented by aromatic herbs and spices, as well as with beautiful appearance.
